STOKE City suffered a 2-1 defeat in the Championship at the Bet365 Stadium on Saturday. Blackburn Rovers took the lead on 13 minutes with a goal from Bradley Dack and it wasn’t until the 81st minute that Stoke equalised from an Corry Evans own goal to pull City level, but 3-minutes later Sam Gallagher popped up with an 84th minute goal to take the points back to Lancashire.

Cheltenham Town gave Port Vale a scare early on as Reuben Reid netted after just 3-minutes for the home side, but the Valiants stormed back with a hat-trick from Tom Pope to give Vale a third-round place in the F.A. Cup.

Crewe Alexandra face an F.A. Cup replay on Tuesday night after they could only manager a draw against Eastleigh. The railwaymen took the lead with an Owen Dale goal in the first half but Marcus Barnes equalised for the home side 4-minutes from time.

It was disappointment for Newcastle Town as they suffered a 3-1 defeat to Stamford AFC in the Bet Victor Northern Premier League South East Division while Kidsgrove Athletic gained a 4-1 victory over Ilkeston Town with goals from Rhys Thompson, Lee Williamson and a brace from Ruben Wiggins-Thomas.
