5-STAR STOKE BEAT HUDDERSFIELD
Stoke City took three vital points as they defeated Huddersfield Town 5-2 on New Year’s Day.
Sam Vokes opened the scoring on 15-minutes, but Town struck early in the second half as Steve Mounie equalised on 48-minutes and then Danny Batth scored an own goal to leave the Potters trailing 2-1 after 50-minutes.
Nick Powell pulled City level on 57-minutes before Tyrese Campbell netted twice in the space of four minutes as he netted in the 66th minute and then on 70-minutes. Lee Gregory came off the bench to add his name to the list of scorers in the 90th minute to give the Potters a comprehensive victory.
