Normacot Week Of Action

7 July 2019 Local News

As part of its commitment to tackling issues that matter to local people, officers from Stoke South Neighbourhood Policing Team are staging a week of action in Normacot starting on Monday 8 July.

Each day will have a different focus and will include joint working with partners such as Licensing, Staffordshire Fire and Rescue Service and the Driver and Vehicle Standards Agency (DVSA).

Activities will include visits to schools, clean ups, traffic enforcement and will culminate in a partnership day at the Westfield Centre where people can come along and talk to representatives from the Department for Work and Pensions, and Staffordshire Fire and Rescue Service and others.

Local Policing Sgt Louise Harding said: “This week of action has been planned to showcase some of the work we do day-in, day-out that goes unseen by members of the public. With the exception of the partnership event on Friday, a lot of the things we’re doing this week form part of our daily business. However, a week of action is a good way to let local people know more about what we do and how we work with partners.

“As well as all the daytime activities we will be having increased high visibility patrols during the evenings which will include police officers on foot patrol supporting PCSO’s. If you see us out and about next week, please come over and say hello. We’ll be happy to talk about any concerns you might have and tell you more about what we’re doing in the community.”
