CCTV Appeal: Attempted Robbery in Bucknall
9 October 2018 Local News
Police in Staffordshire have released CCTV images of suspects they want to trace following an attempted robbery at Bucknall post office on Monday.
Officers were called at 9.45am yesterday morning (8 October) to a report that two people, armed with what was described as a small handgun, entered the post office on Eaves Lane.
They were wearing dark clothing and motorcycle helmets and one of the offenders demanded money from the till from the post master.
He bravely refused and both offenders made off on two motorbikes, one of which was driven by a third accomplice.
Nobody was hurt during the incident but staff and customers were understandably left shaken.
Specialist officers attended the scene and carried out a number of enquiries, but they are now appealing to the public to come forward with any information that may assist with their investigation.
Anyone who recognises the individuals captured on CCTV, or saw these two distinctive motorbikes in the area yesterday, is asked to call Staffordshire Police on 101 quoting incident number 168 of 8 October.
