Serving Staffordshire Police officer sentenced

9 August 2018 Local News

A serving Staffordshire Police officer has been disqualified from driving and ordered to pay costs after appearing in court today (9 August).

PC Zoe Cullen, 45, of the Hanley policing team, attended Derby Magistrates Court charged with driving a motor vehicle above the prescribed alcohol limit. PC Cullen was sentenced to 12 months disqualification and fined £1100 in costs.

PC Cullen today pleaded guilty to the offence which occurred on 6 January 2018 after earlier pleading not guilty on 14 May.

Chief Constable, Gareth Morgan, said: “I am extremely disappointed in this officer’s conduct.

“I will not tolerate those who undermine the integrity of our service and I want to reassure the public that any individual that chooses to do so will be held to account for their actions and put before the courts.”

PC Cullen remains suspended from duty and will now be subject to internal misconduct proceedings.
