Team Green from Pets at Home Charity Cycle Ride
6 July 2018 Local News
On Friday morning, 29th June, Mike, Ben, Mark, Scott, Neil and Andy, set off on the “Blood, Sweat, Gears and a Pasty” ride from the Pets At Home Distribution Centre in Stoke to Lands End. This involved each team member cycling a total of 400 miles including 10,000 feet of climbing, over a period of 5 days before reaching the famous Lands End sign.
The guys are all part of the Team Green Pets At Home Cycle Squad, raising funds for their nominated charities – Cancer Research, Tommys, Support Adoption for Pets and Tri Services & Veterans Support Centre.
You can still support Team Green! Anyone wishing to make a donation to their fund raising can do so by visiting www.virginmoneygiving.com and searching for Michael Lucking (TeamGreen Pets At Home).
Hitmix kept up with their progress, and spoke to them live on air along the way – this is what they had to say after their ordeal –
“Thanks to Robbie Benson and the Hitmix team for supporting Team Green on their recent cycling challenge from Stoke to Lands End. Your support and publicity was very much appreciated. The team have raised just over £2,000.”
