Newcastle-under-Lyme man charged with numerous sexual offences

Following an investigation by Staffordshire Police a man has been arrested and charged with rape and other serious sexual offences.
Martyn James Rees, aged 36, a driving instructor from the Wolstanton area of Newcastle-under-Lyme, was arrested yesterday (Thursday 31 May) and was charged with 17 offences, including rape of a 14-year-old girl, three sexual assaults, possession of and making of indecent images of children, possession of extreme pornography and being concerned in the supply of Class A and Class B controlled drugs.
The charges relate to several incidents that took place in Newcastle-under-Lyme, as well as in the Cheshire and Manchester areas.
Rees will appear at Central and West Magistrates’ Court (Cannock) on 29 June.
