Pete Ward made the announcement last week that he had stepped down from his position as manager of Loughborugh Dynamo.
Pete, or “Wardy” as he is known amongst fans across Staffordshire, is well respected in non league football even more so having previously managed Kidsgrove Athletic and even Leek Town in the 90’s.
Following the announcement, Leek Town made no hesitation in contacting Ward to bring him back to Harrison Park for the upcoming season.
Leek Town officially announced the return of Ward this afternoon who will work alongside the existing team of Jamie Cullerton & Simon Bell.
Leek Town Chairman commented Jon Eeles commented on the club’s website that “Peter’s knowledge and enthusiasm is infectious and I am sure he will strengthen the current team in place, I hope everyone will join me in welcoming Wardy and wishing him all the very best in his new role for us.”
