Hanley Town back in business with 6-2 win!

28 January 2018 Local Sport

With many local teams sidelined with no FA Cup game, attention was turned to Hanley Town, and fans witnessed a cracking game at Potteries Park.

Hanley had started the season so well in the Hallmark Security Premier, but had endured a disappointing December. Now they are back in business after a thumping 6-2 victory against a decent West Didsbury and Chorlton side.

The game produced EIGHT cracking goals, including a hat-trick from Neville Thompson,  a terrific solo effort from captain Theo Stair, a rocket of a free-kick from Daniel Shelly, and a stunning curling shot into the top corner by Mike Conlon. Even Didsbury’s goals by Tom Bailey were impressive for the neutral fan.

Afterwards, Hitmix’s Dave Lee spoke to Hanley manager Michael Edwards.
