Man stabbed in Chesterton house

Staffordshire Police have launched an investigation after a man was found with a stab wound in Chesterton house.

Officers were called to Heath Street, Chesterton, just after 9.20pm this evening (Friday 5th January) following reports of an assault.

The victim, one man, was taken to the Royal Stoke University Hospital with a single stab wound to his abdomen.

The mans condition is not believed to be life-threateningly this time and police officers were still at the scene on Saturday morning.

Detectives are carrying out an investigation and are appealing for witnesses to come forward and contact them.
