4 October 2017 Local

Tafaoul Fadoul, 6, from Ringland Close, Stoke-on-Trent sadly passed away at 12:42pm this afternoon (Wednesday 4th October) in Royal Stoke Hospital.

Tafaoul had been in a critical condition following a fire that broke out in a nearby flat where she lived with her mother and sister. The fire started at around 6am on Sunday 1st October.

Firefighters rescued Tafaoul, her mother Zainab Adam, 36 and her six-month-old sister Tamunni Fadoul. Zainab sadly died on Monday 2 October. Tamunni remains in a critical condition.

Detective Chief Inspector David Giles, who is leading the police investigation, said: “The death of Tafaoul is such an immense tragedy and our sincere condolences are extended to her family and friends.

“I cannot imagine the pain and anguish being felt by the remaining family as their dear little daughter Tamunni is still in a critical condition. We are providing support via specially-trained family liaison officers and our investigation continues.”
