17-year-old charged with possession of offensive weapons

Staffordshire Police have charged a 17-year-old man with possession of offensive weapons and cannabis following an incident in Werrington Road on Monday night (4 September), in which armed officers were called to reports of an incident involving firearms and five people.

The man has been charged with one count of possession of cannabis and two counts of possession of an offensive weapon in a public place.

He will appear at North Staffordshire Justice Centre in Newcastle-under-Lyme on 19 September.
