15 August 2017 Local

Officers have arrested two 15-year-old youths in connection with a vicious assault that left a 19-year-old man with a broken jaw and other injuries.

The incident took place at around 9.45pm on 12 July in parkland behind the Co-op store on Abbots Road, Abbey Hulton.

Following an appeal in the media, information was passed to Staffordshire Police which led to the two arrests. Both youths have since been released under investigation.

Detective Constable Gary Cliffe said: “I would like to thank the media for publishing our appeal and the general public for their positive response.”
