Police name 22-year-old female involved in fatal RTC in Leek

Officers from the Central Motorway Policing Group Collision Investigation Unit are appealing for witnesses to a fatal road traffic collision to contact them.
The incident occurred at around 7.05am on Sunday 2 July on the B5053 Bottom Lane at the junction with Blakelow Road and Fairview Road, Leek.
It involved a red VW Passat that was in collision with a dry stone wall at the location.
The Passat is believed to have travelled along Blakelow Road to the junction with the B5053 Bottom Lane.
Amy Louise Savage, the 22-year-old female passenger from the Cheddleton area, was sadly pronounced dead at the scene.
A 30-year-old man from the Biddulph area was taken to the Royal Stoke University Hospital where he was admitted and treated for chest injuries. His condition is described as stable at this time.
The 26-year-old male driver from the Leek area was arrested at the scene having provided a positive breath test. He has been released pending further enquiries.
Specialist officers are supporting the family of Amy Louise Savage at this time.
