Man Arrested In Connection With Incident At Packmoor

Staffordshire Police have arrested a man at Stafford services, on the southbound M6, in connection with this morning’s incident and he has been taken into custody.

Officers were called to Packmoor County Primary school just after 8.45am after receiving a report of a man in the street with an offensive weapon. He had left the scene before officers arrived.

As a result of the information received armed officers were sent to the location and a search for the man was undertaken. He was located in his vehicle travelling on the M6.

No one was injured during this incident, which was domestic-related.

Staffordshire Police would like to reassure our communities there is no threat to members of the public and your local neighbourhood officers are in the area carrying out high-visibility patrols.
